Here’s a selection of our current signature formulations and treatments. Overall, you will notice that there is a spectrum regarding mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, water resistance, texture, flexibility, softness, etc.

Our materials start as a liquid slurry containing cellulosic fibers and other biobased ingredients, which is injected into a system of molds to form a desired 3D shape. These materials have a high bio-based content, and early testing indicates that some of our materials can be recycled as paper as well as biodegraded within 2 years.

Additionally, Simplifyber is a platform technology; and, because of that, we can easily “tune” our materials to achieve your vision, by selecting raw ingredients (i.e. low impact plants, recycled plant-based clothing, etc.), a particular look, or performance.

OUR FORMULATIONS 

We envision this material as seamless casual shoes, furniture elements, wall coverings, car interiors, or shaped internal components, with the eventual behavior being dependent on surface texture, thickness and shape.
